Washington. America’s newly elected President Donald Trump has announced another important appointment to his cabinet. He has decided to appoint television presenter Pete Hegseth as defense minister in the new government. Pete, a former soldier, will now take over the leadership of the Pentagon in the new administration.
“Pete is tough, smart and a true believer in America First,” the Trump-Vance transition team said in a statement. Under Pete’s leadership, America’s enemies are being warned – our military will be great again and America will never retreat.” The entire world, including New Delhi, watched this announcement.
The statement said Hegseth is a graduate of Princeton University. He also holds a degree from Harvard University. He is an Army combat veteran who has visited Guantanamo Bay, Iraq and Afghanistan. For his actions on the battlefield, he was awarded two Bronze Stars and a Combat Infantryman Badge.
According to the transition team, Hegseth has been an anchor at Fox News for eight years. The transition team added, “Pete’s most recent book, ‘The War on Warriors,’ spent nine weeks on the New York Times bestseller list, including two weeks at number one.” The book explains how we can restore our military to competence, lethality, Accountability and excellence can lead. Pete also leads two veterans advocacy organizations that fight the fight for our warriors and our great veterans. No one can fight such a difficult battle for the soldiers. “Pete will be a courageous and patriotic champion of our ‘Peace through Strength’ policy.”
