Farmers also purchased and stole more than 177 tractors. People made the largest investments in the automotive sector alone. Similarly, on Dhanteras day, 45 people got their property registered.
People bought gold in large quantities
This time people also bought gold jewelry in large quantities even though the price of 22-carat gold was higher by Rs 19,590 per tonne compared to the previous Dhanteras. There was uncertainty in the bullion market throughout the day. There is also a tradition of buying utensils at Dhanteras. The utensil shops were bustling from morning until late at night.
Automobile entrepreneur Kapil Shriwas was informed that at Dhanteras, the most expensive motorcycle of Harley-Davidson was sold for Rs 3 lakh 29,000 with a festival offer of Rs 15,000. Virendra Patel said that this time it was difficult to even supply the small model tractors. After selling 177 tractors, farmers have made even more bookings this time. Precious metals dealer Rohit Soni said people on Dhanteras bought more silver utensils for worship. Additionally, there was a demand for lightweight ear plugs, rings, bracelets, earrings, gold and silver coins and dry foot plates of latest designs.
