New Delhi. The situation in Bangladesh, which defeated Pakistan at home a few months ago, is currently bad. The Bangladesh team has lost to three countries in a row after defeating Pakistan. The country suffered its last defeat against Afghanistan. Afghanistan defeated Bangladesh by 5 wickets in the third ODI match. With this, Afghanistan won the three-match ODI series 2-1. Bangladesh had previously suffered a defeat in the Test series against South Africa. Even on the India tour, Bangladesh lost both the Test and T20 series.

The third ODI match between Afghanistan and Bangladesh was played in Sharjah. In this match, the Bangladesh team was led by their new captain Mehdi Hasan Miraj. Mehdi Hasan was named captain, replacing Nazmul Shanto, who did not play in the game due to injury. Bangladesh scored 244 runs for 8 wickets in this match.

Afghanistan scored the runs needed to win by losing 5 wickets in 48.2 overs. On his part, opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored a brilliant century. Gurbaz hit five fours and seven sixes in his 120-ball innings. On Gurbaz’s strong foundation, all-rounders Azmatullah Omarzai and Mohammad Nabi wrote the script of victory. Omarzai remained unbeaten after scoring 70 runs while Nabi returned to the pavilion after scoring 34 runs. Both of them formed an unbeaten partnership of 58 runs for the sixth wicket.

Earlier, Mahmudullah, the oldest player in the Bangladesh team, played an innings of 98 runs. He was thrown out on the last ball of the innings. Captain Mehdi Hasan also scored 66 runs. Afghan all-rounder Azmatullah Omarzai took four wickets.
