The question on everyone’s mind is whether the opening pair of Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson, who performed brilliantly for the Indian cricket team in the South African T20 series, will stick around or drop out. At the start of T20, both Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill had started the innings and captain Suryakumar Yadav answered what would happen after their return.

Samson also performed well as an opener. When Suryakumar was asked what the team composition would be after the return of Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal, he said, “I’m not thinking that far into the future at the moment.” I like living in the present because this win is special for us.
