Prayagraj: To make Mahakumbh 2025 a safe and environment-friendly Mahakumbh, off-road vehicles will be used at this fair for the first time. If there is a fire somewhere on the exhibition grounds, this vehicle can reach the location faster than normal vehicles. By arriving early, the fire can be brought under control quickly. It will be equipped with all modern fire safety devices including fire extinguishers. Its biggest feature is that it can be driven at full speed anywhere in sand, swamp and shallow water. Trained firefighters from the fire department will ride on this vehicle and keep an eye on emergency situations throughout the exhibition grounds.

The experiment is being conducted for the first time in Mahakumbh
This vehicle will be used for the first time in Mahakumbh. For this purpose, four off-road vehicles have reached Prayagraj and firefighters are being trained in driving and operating these vehicles. This vehicle, powered by an electric battery, will realize CM Yogi’s determination for a safe and eco-friendly Mahakumbh.

All four vehicles reached Prayagraj from Germany
The Uttar Pradesh Fire and Emergency Services (UP Fire Services) has made extensive preparations to make the exhibition center a fire zone. The off-road vehicle is part of this preparation. Chief Fire Officer and Maha Kumbh Nodal Officer Pramod Sharma told Local18 that four SUVs were brought to Prayagraj from Germany. CM Yogi himself will be offering these vehicles, which cost around Rs 2.5 million.

The deployment of these vehicles will ensure that once the Maha Kumbh Mela begins, fire services can function smoothly even in the most crowded areas of the area. He said the vehicle was equipped with firefighting equipment, including water tanks, taps and pumps. This means that officials can intervene immediately in the event of a fire. If the fire is prevented from spreading quickly, the fire will be easier to control.

He said that apart from the regular fire extinguisher, it also had an air compressor and a Vampak fire extinguisher. Up to 9 liters of water can be sprayed from the gun. It contains 8 liters of water and one liter of chemical, which turns into foam after spraying. Fluorine-free foam has effective fire extinguishing properties. It can quickly extinguish the fire. It can also suppress flammable liquid fires and prevent reignition, making it a reliable alternative to traditional foam.

Its discharge distance is up to 45 feet, maintaining a safe distance between the system operator and the fire. It features a 75-foot hose that allows the user to reach a fire within 100 feet of the device in any direction. This distance also protects the operator and firefighter from the heat and toxic gases of the fire. This vehicle is safer for firefighters and first responders. It is also biodegradable and Green Shield certified. Firefighters are specifically trained to handle vehicles with fluorine-free foam.

Access is easy in crowded areas
In most major fire incidents, personnel are often faced with crowded areas, complicating extinguishing efforts. In these areas it is difficult to transport or operate fire engines. That wastes a lot of time. The nodal officer said, “We wanted a solution that would enable us to reach congested areas quickly and start operations immediately. In Mahakumbh, when there are large crowds in all areas, these vehicles can reach the spot in a few seconds in emergency situations. Thanks to the ability to move quickly to ensure a quick response, these vehicles will be able to extinguish various types of fires.

Special features and functions
This vehicle is capable of moving in sand, mud and uneven terrain as well as in shallow water. When the vehicle gets stuck in the sand, it works in boost mode, which causes all four wheels to start working. It charges in just 4 hours and works for 8 hours. It’s 60 km. Can run at a speed of one hour.
