New Delhi: Royal Enfield has reported year-on-year sales growth of 6.82% in September 2024. The company sold a total of 79,326 units this month, compared to 74,261 units in the same month last year. The Royal Enfield Classic 350 played the most important role in this growth, accounting for more than 43% of total sales. The company’s top four motorcycles are in the 350cc segment, which contributes 90% of the total sales. Let us know detailed information about the performance of each model.
The Classic 350 remained the company’s best seller with 33,065 units sold in September 2024. In the same month last year, 26,003 units were sold, an increase of 27.16% this year. It accounts for 41.68% of Royal Enfield’s total sales.
How were the sales of other bikes?
The Hunter 350 also continued to perform well. In September 2024, 17,406 units were sold, an increase of 18.04% compared to the previous year’s 14,746 units. It accounts for 21.94% of the company’s total revenue.
Sales of the Bullet 350 are down this year. In September 2024, 12,901 units were sold, while 18,316 units were sold in the same month last year, a decrease of 29.56%. The company has a sales share of 16.26%.
Meteor 350 recorded consistent performance with 8,665 units sold. In September last year, 8,659 units were sold, representing a marginal growth of 0.07%. This model accounts for 10.92% of total sales.
The 650 models performed excellently. Their 2,869 units were sold in September 2024, representing a huge increase of 124.14% over the previous year’s 1,280 units. The 650 Twins account for 3.62% of total sales.
This year, there was a decline in sales of Himalayan. Only 1,814 units were sold in September 2024, while 3,218 units were sold in the same month last year, a decrease of 43.63%. Himalayan’s market share is now 2.29%. The main reason for this decline is considered to be the company’s new Guerrilla 450 motorcycle, of which 1,657 units were sold in September 2024, accounting for 2.09% of total sales.
The Super Meteor struggled this year, only selling 685 units. In the same month last year, 2,039 units were sold, a decrease of 66.41%. Shotgun sold 264 units in September 2024, accounting for 0.33% of total sales.
Royal Enfield will enter the electric vehicle segment in October 2024 as the company will unveil its new electric motorcycle.
