New Delhi. When people talk about 350 to 450 cc motorcycles, the name Royal Enfield comes first. The company has retained its monopoly in this segment for several years. Royal Enfield models also dominated the top four places in this segment in September 2024. Six Royal Enfield models were also included in the top 10 list. At the same time, brands like Triumph, Jawa, Yezdi, Bajaj and Honda also managed to gain their place in the list.

Royal Enfield remains No. 1 in medium-duty motorcycle sales. The company sells eight models in India while preparing to launch an electric model soon, which will be unveiled at the EICMA bike show in Italy this year. For now, let’s know how mid-weight bike sales fared last month.

Classic 350 took first place
With 33,065 units sold in September 2024, the Royal Enfield Classic 350 ranked first in the segment. 28,450 units were sold in August. This means sales increased by 4,615 units, representing annual growth of 16.22%. The market share of this bike was 37.62%.

17,406 units of the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 were sold in September 2024 and 13,481 units in August. An additional 3,925 units were sold, achieving annual growth of 29.12%. The market share of Hunter 350 was 17.82%.

The Royal Enfield Bullet 350 recorded sales of 12,901 units in September 2024 and 8,660 units in August. As a result, Bullet 350 recorded a growth of 48.97% and its market share was 11.45%. At the same time, 8,665 units of Royal Enfield Meteor 350 were sold in September while it was 6,785 units in August. As a result, Meteor 350 achieved annual growth of 27.71% and its market share was 8.97%.

Royal Enfield Himalayan sold 1,814 units in September while 2,099 units were sold in August. As a result, Himalayan recorded a declining growth of 13.58% and its market share was 2.78%. At the same time, 1,657 units of Royal Enfield Guerrilla were sold in September, resulting in a growth decline of 24.85% and a market share of 2.92%.

Triumph 400 and Jawa Yezdi also showed their strength
3,411 units of the Triumph 400 were sold in September and 3,328 units in August. As a result, the company recorded a growth of 2.49% and its market share was 4.4%. On the other hand, 2,125 units of Jawa Yezdi (retail) were sold in September, registering an annual growth of 3.26%.

Decline in sales of Bajaj Pulsar 400 and Honda H’ness 350
The Bajaj Pulsar 400 sold 2,122 units in September while it sold 2,516 units in August. As a result, Pulsar recorded an annual growth deficit of 15.66% and a market share of 3.33%. At the same time, 2,048 units of Honda H’ness 350 were sold in September, resulting in a growth of 23.9% and a market share of 2.19%.

Harley Davidson and Honda CB 350
The Harley Davidson X440 sold 1,442 units in September, representing growth of 62.94%. At the same time, 1,242 units of Honda CB 350 were sold in September, resulting in a decline of 14.87% and a market share of 1.93%.

Status Bajaj Dominar 400 and KTM 390
The Bajaj Dominar 400 sold 794 units in September, registering a growth of 12.94%. At the same time, 695 units of the KTM 390 were sold, resulting in a decline of 2.25%.

Selling other models
The Aprilia RS 457 sold 267 units in September, a decline of 35.66%. Hero Maverick sold 169 units and Husqvarna 401 sold 37 units in September. There were 5 units of Kawasaki Eliminator 400 sold, resulting in a growth decline of 16.67%.
