Perth Test: After Rohit, Shubman Gill is also out… The young star can return to the starting XI

New Delhi. The Indian team that reached the Australia tour faced setbacks even before the series began. There was already news about captain Rohit Sharma that he would not play in the first Test match in Perth. Rohit did not travel to Australia and the Indian team was also prepared for it. But Shubman Gill’s injury has compounded India’s problems. Shubman broke his thumb during training and almost ruled out of the first Test.

The first Test will be played from November 22nd
The five-match Test series between India and Australia is scheduled to be played from November 22. The first Test between the two teams will be played in Perth. The Indian team reached Australia 10 days before this match but confusion still exists regarding the playing eleven. Captain Rohit Sharma recently became a father for the second time. For this reason he will not play the first test match. He will join the team before the second Test.

Half of the team had 93 runs again, then Kusal took the reins and ensured a thrilling victory, New Zealand, who beat India, are in poor form.

KL Rahul will open for sure
It was considered certain that KL Rahul would open in place of Rohit, but the team has since suffered another setback. Shubhman Gill injured his thumb. He has a fracture in his thumb. According to Cricinfo, Gill will not play the first Test match. However, the team management has not officially commented on this.

Devdutt can replace Gill
Even though the Indian team is not saying anything directly about Gill’s injury, India batsman Devdutt Padikkal was suddenly stopped in Australia. This is an indication that Devdutt Padikkal could be asked to bat at number three if Gill is unfit. 24-year-old Padikkal has been in Australia for 20 days. During this time, he played innings of 88, 36 and 26 runs in the India A and Australia A matches, allowing him to return to the playing eleven. Gill played the only Test for India this year against England in which he scored 65 runs.
