It’s not easy to teach Indian batsmen, Gautam Gambhir had an average of 22 in Australia… Who asked questions about the coaching staff?

New Delhi. The Indian cricket team has reached Australia after the worst performance in its history. In such a situation, the team has to tell many players how to play in Australia. What kind of surge will there be and how to address it? But who will take on this task of telling the story? Obviously only someone who has played in Australia can do this work. Among the Indian coaching staff, only head coach Gautam Gambhir has this experience. The rest of the staff doesn’t even have the experience of playing test matches. Perhaps that is why former captain Sunil Gavaskar threw questions at the Indian coaching staff on a show.

Sunil Gavaskar said on Sports Tak that the Indian team faces a tough test in Australia. The players there have to be very well instructed. His batting coach… After saying this, Gavaskar asks if Abhishek Nair is a batting coach or an assistant coach. To this, the anchor says that he doesn’t understand whether Abhishek Nair and Ryan ten Doeschate are assistant coaches or batting coaches… Then Gavaskar smiles and says that Gautam Gambhir, however, has scored more runs than both of them in Test cricket. Therefore, Gautam Gambhir should teach them all how batting should be done and what approach that is. If we show this restraint, perhaps our performance can be good.

After this statement from Sunil Gavaskar about the Indian coaching staff, Gautam Gambhir’s numbers went viral on social media. Gautam has played 58 matches in his Test career and scored 4154 runs at an average of 41.95. But those are his overall numbers. If we look at Gambhir’s performance in Australia, it is very pathetic.

Gambhir scored 181 runs in 4 games
Gautam Gambhir played four Test matches on the Australia tour in 2011-12. He scored 181 runs in 8 innings of these games at an average of 22.62. Gambhir managed to cross the 50-run mark only once in this series. His best score was 83 runs. This means that his bat scored only 98 runs in the remaining 7 innings.

Nair and Ryan never played a Test match
As for India’s assistant coach Abhishek Nair, he has only played three One Day International matches. He has never played a Test match. Ryan ten Doeschate of the Netherlands has played 33 ODI and 24 T20 International matches. The Netherlands does not have the status of a friendly team. For this reason, Ryan has never played a friendly match.
