According to the American news channel CNN, Xi called Trump to congratulate him on his spectacular victory. However, the Chinese Foreign Ministry refused to answer a question on the matter.

According to media reports, in his congratulatory message to Trump, Xi called on the two countries to strengthen dialogue and communication, resolve differences and enhance mutually beneficial cooperation. Xi said: “I urge China and the United States to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation.” He said: “I urge China and America to choose the right path to walk together in the new era.” Xi Jinping said the two countries, which have the world’s two largest economies, should strengthen dialogue and communication.

However, the Chinese Foreign Ministry refused to provide details of the conversation between Xi Jinping and Donald Trump. The Foreign Ministry said Vice President Han Zheng sent a congratulatory message to America’s newly elected Vice President JD Vance. When Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Mao Ning was asked about the conversation between Xi and Trump, he refused to answer.
