How much will it cost?
The starting price of Honda’s new generation Amaze is estimated to be around Rs 7.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Its direct competition will be the new generation Maruti Dezire, which will be launched on November 11. Additionally, it will also challenge sedans like the Tata Tigor and Hyundai Aura.

Design and appearance
The teaser shows the front optics of the Amaze, which features an attractive design with sharp lines and hexagonal grille. There are sleek LED headlights with LED daytime running lights on both sides, very similar to the Honda Elevate SUV. The fog lights were also kept in their place.

The company has not yet revealed any specific information about the rear profile and interior, but it is likely that the taillights will also be changed, in addition to redesigned alloy wheels and the rear bumper.

Cabin and equipment
Honda has not yet fully revealed the interior of the new Amaze, but it is expected to possibly get a new dashboard layout and updated cabin design. Premium features like a large touchscreen, a wireless phone charger and a single-pane sunroof can be found in the car. In terms of safety, 6 airbags can be provided as standard in the Amaze this time. In addition, features such as Electronic Stability Control (ESC), rearview camera and Advanced Driving Assistance System (ADAS) can be added to increase safety.

Performance and mileage
There will hardly be any major changes in the mechanical specifications. Currently, the Honda Amaze is available with a 1.2 liter i-VTEC naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 87.7 PS of power and 110 Nm of torque.

As for the transmission, this engine is available with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a CVT gearbox. Amaze will only be available with petrol engines as Honda has stopped production of its diesel engines. According to the company, the mileage of the Honda Amaze is 18.6 kmph.
