Washington: The elections in America are over. Donald Trump was elected as the new President of America. Afghan Farhad Shakeri, who is accused of planning a failed assassination attempt on Donald Trump, was deported from the United States after serving time in prison. A criminal complaint filed in federal court in Manhattan alleges that an unnamed officer in Iran’s paramilitary Revolutionary Guard ordered a man last September to monitor Trump and ultimately plot to kill him.
The complaint says that if Farzad Shakeri did not submit a plan by then, the official told him that Iran would put its plan on hold until after the presidential election because the official believed Trump would lose and kill them.

According to the complaint, Shakeri told the FBI that he did not plan to propose a plan to assassinate Trump within the seven days requested by the official. Because the allegations emerged just days after Trump’s victory over Democrat Kamala Harris, the conspiracy reflects efforts by federal authorities to target U.S. government officials, including Trump, on U.S. soil.
Who is Farzad Shakeri?
Shakeri is accused of taking part in a major assassination plot on behalf of Tehran along with two New Yorkers – Jonathan Loadholt, 36, of Staten Island, and Carlisle Rivera, 49, of Brooklyn (also known as Pop). Shakeri came to America as a teenager. However, the FBI has not revealed the year he arrived in the country or his place of residence. According to the indictment, he met his associates while he was in prison in America.
The indictment alleges that after his 1994 conviction, he was held in several state prisons, including Woodbourne Correctional Center, where he shared custody with an unnamed defendant. Shekari was moved to the Beacon facility in 2005, when officials claimed he first encountered Rivera. He remained in the United States until his deportation in 2008. According to New York Department of Corrections and Community Supervision records, his parole supervision ended in 2015. According to the indictment, he was arrested again in Sri Lanka just four years later in connection with the seizure of 92 kilograms of heroin.
