New Delhi. Mercedes-Benz India has announced a price cut for its EQE SUV. The company has reduced the price of this SUV by Rs 20 lakh to Rs 1.19 crore (ex-showroom). This move was made to differentiate the EQE from the recently launched EQS SUV. Through this price cut, the company’s aim is to increase the EQE’s competitiveness, attract more buyers and bring clarity to Mercedes-Benz’s range of electric vehicles.
The Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV is priced at ₹1.41 Crore and is offered as a CKD (Completely Knocked Down) model. In contrast, the EQE SUV was previously imported as a CBU (Completely Built-Up) model. This price cut creates a gap between the two models, which will help position both vehicles better in the market.
Old customers receive vouchers
Additionally, the company has announced that those who previously purchased the EQE SUV at a higher price will get a voucher worth ₹5 lakh. This voucher can be used when purchasing any new Mercedes-Benz vehicle within the next three years. This initiative was taken by the company to promote customer loyalty and identify early buyers.
Battery, range and performance
Notably, the EQE SUV is the third electric vehicle to be launched by Mercedes-Benz India this year. This SUV comes after the Maybach SUV EQA and EQS. The EQE SUV is equipped with a 122 kWh battery pack and has two motors on each axle of the vehicle. This SUV offers an output of 544 hp and a maximum torque of 858 Nm, enabling it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds. Additionally, this SUV is said to be able to travel up to 809 km on a single charge.
