New Delhi. Honda Cars India on Friday said it is recalling 2,204 additional units to replace defective fuel pumps in some models. This brings the total number of recalls to 92,672 units. The company had previously announced a drive to voluntarily replace fuel pumps in 90,468 old units.
“In addition, this promotion also includes 2,204 old units that were previously subjected to this modification as spare parts,” the automaker said in a statement. The fuel pumps installed in these vehicles may have faulty propellers, which could cause the engine to stall or not start over time, the company added.
