Greaves Electric Mobility‘s flagship electric three-wheeler, the Eltra City, has set a new record for the longest ride on a single charge by an electric three-wheeler in India. The vehicle covered 225 km from Bangalore to Mysore, establishing itself as the highest range three-wheeler in the country and promising uninterrupted travel and enhanced earning opportunities for drivers.
The Eltra City journeyed past notable landmarks such as Vidhana Soudha, HAL Ajeet at Cubbon Road, and Tipu Sultan’s mausoleum, and finished at the Freedom Fighter’s Park in Mysore. This “Eltra City Freedom Ride” was organized as part of Independence Day celebrations, underscoring Greaves Electric Mobility’s commitment to reducing dependence on fossil fuels and highlighting the Eltra’s cost-effectiveness and zero emissions.

The Eltra City is equipped with a 10.8 kWh lithium-ion battery and a 9.6 kW motor, designed for optimal performance and effortless journeys. Key features include a payload capacity of 528 kg, 14-degree gradability, 49 Nm of peak torque, and hill hold assist, ensuring a smooth driving experience in urban settings. The vehicle prioritizes safety, minimizes maintenance costs, and maximizes uptime.
The record-setting journey was conducted in the vehicle’s Eco mode to demonstrate how customers can maximize range performance and to address any potential dissatisfaction from range discrepancies. This strategic use of Eco mode, combined with the vehicle’s robust features, underscores its advanced capabilities and reinforces its market leadership.
