He suffered defeat in the last elections. This time he is back on the ballot.

Before the US presidential election on November 5th, let us know who can become president of the USA, what qualifications are required and how much education is required.

Can anyone become President of America?
The answer is no. The US Constitution provides a detailed description of the qualifications and other qualifications required to contest the election of the US President and be appointed President. The US Constitution states that you must be at least 35 years old to vote in the presidential election. However, a maximum age is not mentioned. Only a person who has lived in America for at least 14 years is eligible to run for president. Only a person who is either born in America or whose parents are American citizens.

Must be a native US citizen
The US Constitution also states that only a person who is a natural-born US citizen can be considered for president. So who is a native American citizen? Let’s understand this with an example. America also operates its military bases outside its territory in other countries. If a person is born on these military bases, he receives American citizenship, but not many other rights that residents of various states of America or people of American territories have.

For example, if a person is born in Port Rico (a U.S. territory) after 1940, he or she is considered a native-born U.S. citizen and can vote in presidential elections. In any other country, he or she is not considered a native-born U.S. citizen. Because this is not American soil. He receives American citizenship, but cannot take part in the presidential election.

Cannot become president for the third time
The U.S. Constitution states that a person cannot become president for a third time after serving as president for two consecutive terms. However, an exception was Franklin D. Roosevelt, who was President of America four times. After his term in office, the 22nd Amendment was introduced, which stated that any person can only remain president for two terms or eight years.

How educated do you have to be?
No academic degree is required for the American president. Even an illiterate person can become president of America or vote in elections. The American Constitution states that every person has the equal right to vote for president. Apart from that, it is also important that his criminal record does not play a role and his health or fitness does not play a role.

An example of this is Franklin D. Roosevelt, who had many health problems. He suffered from paralysis, including polio and heart disease. Nevertheless, he remained president four times. John F. Kennedy also had problems such as colitis and chronic back pain. Current President Joe Biden is also struggling with many health problems. For this reason, he had to drop out of the presidential race.
