New Delhi. Maruti Suzuki has launched the new Dezire sedan. The company has launched it at a starting price of Rs 6.70 lakh (ex-showroom). The price of its top model increases to Rs 10.14 lakh (ex-showroom). The company has launched it in four variants including LXI, VXI, ZXI and ZXI Plus.

Equipped with a powerful 3-cylinder engine
The fourth-generation Dezire features a new 1.2-litre Z-series petrol engine that produces 80 PS of power and 112 Nm of torque. This is a 3-cylinder engine that is also used in the new generation Swift. There is the option of a 5-speed manual and an AMT gearbox. Additionally, the company has also introduced a CNG variant that offers 68 PS of power and 102 Nm of torque.

Big change in design
The exterior design of the new Dezire has been updated. It received a new grille with horizontal slats as well as features such as LED headlights, new front and rear bumpers, two-tone alloy wheels, triangular inserts in the LED taillights and a shark fin antenna.

New features also in the cabin
The cabin of the Dezire 2024 has also been expanded with many new functions. An electric sunroof is available for the first time in this segment. Additionally, features like a new dual-tone interior design, 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, flat-bottom steering wheel, 360-degree camera, cruise control, rear air conditioning vents and automatic climate control are included.

5 Star Safety Rating
The new Maruti Dezire is the company’s first car to achieve a 5-star safety rating in the Global NCAP crash test. This car has received a 5-star rating for adult protection and a 4-star rating for child protection. This is the first car from Maruti to get a 5-star rating in Global NCAP. This model promises good safety for the driver and passengers, and the side impact test also showed good results.

Mileage 33.73 kilometers
Speaking of mileage: its petrol engine model achieves a mileage of 24.79 km/l in the manual transmission (MT) variants and 25.71 km/l in the automatic transmission (AT) variants. If we talk about the CNG version then it was introduced in CNG only with manual transmission. According to the company, this car will offer a range of 33.73 kilometers on one kilogram of CNG.
