New Delhi. A very exciting match between India and New Zealand took place in Mumbai. The competition in the second session on the third day was breathtaking. New Zealand’s second innings was limited to 174 runs and India aimed to win by 147 runs. New Zealand created history by outplaying the Indian team’s second innings favorably. For the first time, India faced a clean sweep against New Zealand at home. The Kiwi team won the Mumbai Test by 25 runs beating All India by 121 runs. Ajaz Patel opened his claws in both innings and picked up 11 wickets in total.
After scoring 235 runs in the first innings, the New Zealand team prevented India from taking a big lead over All India by 263 runs. Team India had a lead of 28 runs. On the second day of play, in New Zealand’s second innings, Ravindra Jadeja and R Ashwin bowled brilliantly, which turned the game in India’s favour. Losing 9 wickets for 171 runs saw New Zealand fall behind and create an opportunity for India.
Indian bowlers reduced New Zealand to 174 runs in the second innings, setting a target of 147 runs for the batsmen, while New Zealand bowlers made things difficult. By quickly dismissing Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill and Sarfaraz Khan, the New Zealand team reduced India’s score to 5 wickets for 29 runs. Rishabh Pant came and fought aggressively and turned the game towards India. Ravindra Jadeja took 10 wickets for India while Ajaz Patel took 11 wickets for New Zealand in the game.
