New Delhi. Indian cricket team’s young batsman Sarfaraz Khan secured a place in Team India by scoring runs in domestic cricket. Even after a brilliant debut against England, he didn’t get a chance in the starting XI in the series against Bangladesh. The selectors released him in the second game and sent him to the Irani Trophy. After scoring a double century there, when given a chance against New Zealand, Sarfaraz made a huge splash. This batsman answered the selectors in his own style after scoring the first century of his Test career.
The first match of the three-match series will be played between India and New Zealand at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. In the first innings, the Indian team was reduced to just 46 runs and after that New Zealand scored 402 runs and took a huge lead of 356 runs. Team India made a strong comeback in the second innings and scored 231 runs for 3 wickets on the third day. Virat Kohli departed after scoring 70 runs but Sarfaraz Khan returned unbeaten with the same score. On the fourth day, he continued the innings in the same manner and scored a century.
