Result of the 2024 US presidential election LIVE: Donald Trump made history with his victory in the US presidential election. Trump has so far received 277 electoral votes, 7 more than the 270 votes needed for the presidency. Kamala Harris suffered a crushing defeat in this election. He could only get 219 votes. He is the second president in American history to become president for the second time after losing the election once. Previously, then-President Grover Cleveland lost the election in 1888, but won again in the 1892 election.
Euphoric about his victory in the presidential election, Donald Trump addressed his supporters upon his arrival at the White House and announced his plans. He said we will fix everything, from the border to everywhere else.
Donald Trump declared victory in the 2024 election and vowed to usher in a “golden age” for the United States during a speech in West Palm Beach. Trump said: “It was a movement like no one had ever seen before, and quite frankly I think it was the biggest political movement there has ever been.” There is something like that in this country and probably beyond never given.
He continued: “And now it will reach a new level of importance because we are going to help our country.” We are going to help our country… We have a country that needs help, and it needs help very badly. We will set our boundaries. We will put everything in order in our country. And we made history tonight for a reason, and that reason will only be that we overcame obstacles that no one thought possible, and now it is clear that we have achieved the most incredible thing in politics.”
Trump continued: “I want to thank the American people for the extraordinary honor of electing you as your 47th and your 45th President, and every citizen, I will fight for you, your family and your future.” Every day will I will fight for you and with every breath in my body I will not rest until we create the strong, safe and prosperous America that our children and you deserve. This will truly be America’s golden age.
