Dzire facelift: Maruti’s new Dezire will be available in a few days, the sunroof will be available with 6 airbags

New Generation Maruti Dzire: Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch the facelifted version of its popular Dzire sedan in India. The company has announced that the new fourth generation Dezire will be launched in the Indian market on November 11. This sedan will be based on Maruti’s hatchback Swift platform but has been given a different design in terms of design.

Many segment-first features have been provided in the new Dezire. It includes a sunroof and six airbags as standard. In addition, special attention was paid to enhanced safety and connected functions in the vehicle.

The new Dezire will be available in five variants
The Maruti Dezire facelift is offered in five variants – LXI, VXI, VXI(O), ZXI and ZXI+. The ex-showroom price of the new Dezire is expected to start at around Rs 6.99 lakh, while the starting price of the current model is Rs 6.57 lakh (ex-showroom). In the sedan segment, Dezire will directly compete with cars like Honda Amaze, Hyundai Aura and Tata Tigor.

What will be new in the interior?
The interior of the new generation Dezire features an all-new dashboard layout with a two-tone black and white theme. This layout was inspired by Swift Facelift, Forex, Baleno and Brezza. The sedan will also have features like a 9.0-inch floating infotainment system, slim AC vents and HVAC controls on the bottom.

The car will have more than 40 connected car features, including wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. In addition, state-of-the-art features such as wireless charger, 4.2-inch MID, steering wheel-mounted controls, automatic climate control, push-button start and a rear parking camera are also included.

Big change in the powertrain
The biggest change has been made in the powertrain of the Desire facelift. Instead of the current model’s K12 four-cylinder petrol engine, the Z Series now gets a new 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine, which is also available in the new Swift. This engine produces 82 HP of power and 112 Nm of torque. Compared to the current model, the new Dezire’s power is slightly lower, but the engine has been made more economical.

The new Dezire will come with an optional 5-speed manual transmission and an automatic transmission (AMT). With the new engine and transmission configuration, Dezire will offer better mileage and performance, which can make it more popular among Indian customers. It is likely that the Desire facelift will once again consolidate its position in the sedan segment with new features and attractive prices.
