Actress Ameesha Patel, who has produced blockbusters with Hrithik Roshan and Sunny Deol, regrets turning down the 2003 superhit film. Shahrukh Khan played the lead role in this film. The name of the film is “Chalte Chalte”. Ameesha turned down the film, so that role went to Rani Mukherjee. He is still sad about the rejection of this film. He also talked about the ups and downs of his career.

After gaining popularity with Kaho Na Pyaar Hai with Hrithik Roshan and the huge success of Gadar with Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel had to face ups and downs in her film career. Speaking to YouTube channel BeautyByBIE, Ameesha revealed that her secretary did not properly inform her about the ‘Chalte Chalte’ offer, which is why she declined it.

Ameesha Patel said, “In my job, I missed a few films. Some films were very successful, others were unsuccessful. I didn’t work in Shahrukh Khan’s film Chalte Chalte because I didn’t know that film was offered to me. My secretary didn’t tell me this film was on offer.”

Ameesha Patel further said, “When the film was about to release and Shahrukh Khan was doing the dubbing, he took me to the dubbing studio and showed me some cuts. He said, “Come, I’ll show you the cut of the film that you rejected.” I replied, “Shahrukh, what did I ban?” And he said, ‘This film.'”

Ameesha Patel didn’t even make a single successful film in her later years. But Ameesha made a grand comeback with Gadar 2 in 2023. The film received mixed reviews. The film grossed Rs 686 crore at the box office, which entered the list of highest grossers of 2023.
