New Delhi. Royal Enfield is gradually introducing motorcycles to the Indian market. After launching Meteor 650, Shotgun and Himalayan 450, the company is now gearing up to launch another bike. The company is currently preparing to introduce numerous new motorcycles. The most popular models among these are Classic 650 and Interceptor Bear 650. Now pictures of the Interceptor Bear 650 without any camouflage have appeared on the Internet. This motorcycle is expected to debut at EICMA this year.
Royal Enfield has already applied for the design patent and nameplate patent for the Interceptor Bear 650 in India. Now there is a possibility that this bike will be unveiled at the Motoverse event later this year.
How is Royal Enfield’s new motorcycle?
The chassis of the new Interceptor Bear 650 is mostly carried over from the Interceptor 650, but some changes will be seen in it. The motorcycle gets new springs at the rear, which provide better suspension travel. Upside-down forks are used at the front. There is a possibility that Royal Enfield will collaborate with Showa for the precise tuning of the suspension system. Since it is a scrambler motorcycle, it also comes with wire wheels and multi-purpose tires.
You get a simple appearance with modern technology
The new Interceptor Bear 650’s headlight has been adopted from other 650cc models. However, it doesn’t provide as good light at night. The indicators will also be LED, with a design similar to that of the Himalayan 450. The Bear 650 has a round LED taillight, while the Himalayan 450 has the taillight integrated into the indicators. The body of this motorcycle is quite simple and a new side fairing has been installed.
The bike will be equipped with a powerful engine
In the Interceptor Bear 650, the company will use the 650cc engine from its existing motorcycles. This engine features air-oil-cooled parallel twin engine technology. This engine produces a maximum power of around 47 HP and a torque of 52 Nm. Paired with this engine is a smooth-shifting 6-speed transmission. There is a possibility that Royal Enfield will use a different sprocket size for the Bear 650. In addition, a new single-sided exhaust system can also be provided, which is lighter than the dual exhaust system. The weight of the dual exhaust systems is currently around 10 kg.
When will it be released?
The exact price and launch details for the Interceptor Bear 650 have not been announced yet, but the bike is likely to be unveiled at the upcoming EICMA or Motoverse event. Due to its design, features and engine, this motorcycle can occupy an important place in Royal Enfield’s current model range.
